Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and delivery points
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork using electronic logging devices
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Represent Austin Freight Solutions professionally at all customer interaction points
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled routes
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored CDL training program
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and early morning shifts
