Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Illinois and Midwest routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Follow DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Adapt to varying weather conditions and traffic patterns in the Chicago metro area
- Represent the company professionally with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to obtain CDL Class A license with company-sponsored training
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and some weekends
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to complete paid company training program
