Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles following DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while meeting delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to HOS (Hours of Service) regulations and all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience (commercial or non-commercial)
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
