Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across New York and surrounding regions
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre-trip safety checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (e-fuel logs, bills of lading)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and traffic laws in metropolitan areas
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
