Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within Houston metro area and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Complete required paperwork including delivery manifests and trip reports
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients on-site
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class A CDL permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and route planning
- Reliable transportation to reporting locations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and operate loading equipment
