Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route adjustments and delivery updates
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Build positive relationships with clients and warehouse staff
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Reliable transportation to and from terminal locations
- Strong attention to detail and punctuality
