Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route updates or delivery issues
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic regulations and company policies
- Assist in basic warehouse duties when not on driving assignments
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class A or B preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Basic math skills for delivery verification
- Strong communication and time management abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must have clean driving record (no major violations)
