What You'll Do
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of San Diego Express Logistics. Your primary focus will be ensuring our packages arrive safely and on time while providing a positive experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in the San Diego area safely and efficiently.
- Practice safe driving habits and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Inspect delivery vehicles daily and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Interact professionally with customers to resolve any delivery issues or questions.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices to log proof of delivery and track routes.
- Load and unload packages from the delivery van with care to ensure no damage occurs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with smartphone apps.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
