Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods to residential and commercial destinations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Safe Loading & Unloading: Securely load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle using dollies and hand trucks, ensuring items are not damaged.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and delivery software to plan the most efficient route to delivery stops.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver packages with a friendly attitude, obtain signatures when required, and resolve any customer concerns professionally.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and mileage reports.
- Inventory Management: Verify package counts and ensure all orders are accounted for before leaving the depot.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C driver's license is required.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and delivery instructions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, responsible, and able to work independently.
