As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the Northeast and Midwest regions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all trips.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time management protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Uphold a professional image and safe driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods (if applicable to regional routes).
