Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and professional manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation (DVIR, ELD, Bills of Lading).
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience is preferred, but entry level candidates with clean records are encouraged to apply.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Basic math and reading skills for logbook and cargo documentation.
