Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining professional customer interactions
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Document delivery receipts and maintain shipment documentation
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of Washington DC roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends
