Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Respond professionally to unexpected route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required
- Minimum 6 months driving experience preferred (entry-level encouraged)
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with DOT regulations
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
