Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Los Angeles County
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs per DOT regulations
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to delivery schedules and routes
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and follow all traffic laws
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo as required
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
