Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and safety protocols
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and paperwork
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a US citizen or legal resident with proper documentation
