Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Illinois and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage loading/unloading operations at distribution centers
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Maintain clean driving record and report any incidents or mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous driving experience preferred but not required
