Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, tractor-trailers) following DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and inventory
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally as needed
- No prior CDL experience required - we provide training!
