Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A trucks) to transport freight within Sacramento and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete required paperwork and electronic logging systems accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn vehicle systems
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from terminal locations
