Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on designated routes throughout Ohio and beyond.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid State-issued CDL Class A or B license required (or eligibility for training).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving history or willingness to undergo training.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle mechanics and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
