Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating commercial vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, both on and off the truck.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and logbooks, accurately and on time.
- Drive in a safe, courteous, and defensive manner in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and no serious traffic violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (for interstate) or 18 years of age (for intrastate).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Willingness to undergo paid training for entry-level positions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
