Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) for local and regional deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage loading/unloading of freight with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete all required paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations) accurately
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong time management and route-following abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
