Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport freight across New York and regional routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to safety regulations and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
- Uphold a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A preferred for this role).
- Clean driving abstract (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- At least 21 years of age.
- Current DOT medical card or ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English proficiency for safety documentation.
