Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials throughout New York State
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and schedules
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by New York State
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of NYC traffic regulations and commercial vehicle routes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored training programs
