Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks, tractor-trailers) to transport goods within Tennessee and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report vehicle issues promptly
- Adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, logs, and route planning using GPS systems
- Maintain clean driving record and represent the company professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
- Secure cargo and ensure proper handling of specialized materials when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or recent CDL graduate
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
