Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on regional and long-haul routes across Tennessee and Texas.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to ensure cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Must be obtained prior to start date).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clear driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends if required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
