Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport cargo to designated delivery locations while adhering to strict schedules and routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and map reading.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
