Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering goods to various destinations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training if applicable.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
