Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers on various routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or reckless driving violations.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
