Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers in all weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo using proper securing techniques to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding cargo status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
