Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and legality of the vehicle.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads using tarps and straps.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and safety culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or major traffic violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
