Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (Electronic Logging Device) and required documentation.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, customer service, and driving standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Represent Apex Transport Solutions professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (or willingness to obtain one through our paid training program).
- Automobile driver's license (CDL Class B requires a regular driver's license).
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred, but we welcome first-time drivers with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Basic computer literacy for logbook entry and communication.
