Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Navigate local, regional, and long-haul routes in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure freight efficiently and safely, ensuring items arrive at their destination damage-free.
- Perform Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain Logs: Accurately complete Daily Driver's Logs (DVIR), electronic logging devices (ELD), and mileage reports.
- Customer Service: Deliver professional service to customers, including handling paperwork and answering inquiries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep your truck clean and in excellent operating condition while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must hold a current, valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License.
- Clean Driving Record: No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years and no DUIs in the last 7 years.
- Eligibility: Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid U.S. Social Security Card.
- Experience: No prior trucking experience required (CDL Class A training/certification is mandatory).
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and use GPS systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for extended periods, and pass a DOT physical examination.
