Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict compliance with FMCSA and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding route status and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while representing the Apex Logistics brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (or current learner's permit for our paid training program).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) or ability to obtain one.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid DOT medical card required.
