Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured and protected.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) preferred, or willingness to train.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
