Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks or vans) to transport goods and materials
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as per DOT regulations
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive routes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Load/unload cargo securely and assist with freight handling when needed
- Uphold company safety policies and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (Class A or B CDL preferred)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and route planning
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to reporting location
- Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, and weekends
- No DUI convictions in the past 5 years
