Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Virginia and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Plan efficient routes while considering weather, traffic, and delivery schedules
- Maintain professional customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
