Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and document vehicle status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, DOT guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and shipping documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of commercial vehicle operation and safety standards
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
