Responsibilities
- Safely transport cargo across the Midwest region using commercial trucks and trailers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Secure cargo loads properly using straps, chains, and tarps.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating delivery status and handling documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report vehicle issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Willingness to cross state lines and adapt to varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
