Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in accordance with all federal and state regulations, including FMCSA rules.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Plan routes and manage delivery schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (with applicable endorsements).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math skills for making change and reading delivery orders.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
