Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across Illinois and neighboring states
- Pre-trip inspections and daily vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficient route planning and on-time delivery of freight
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
