Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Maryland and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation following DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adapt to changing schedules and route conditions while meeting deadlines
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class A CDL license (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and documentation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn safety protocols and driving techniques
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
