Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Louisiana and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations
- Represent Delta Logistics professionally at all customer interaction points
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (training available if unlicensed)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored training program
