Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) following DOT regulations and company policies
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adapt routes based on traffic conditions and delivery priorities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Uphold strict safety standards and contribute to accident prevention initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year CDL experience or recent CDL graduate
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work variable schedules including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
