Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Illinois and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate DOT logs, delivery records, and compliance documentation
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally at customer facilities and delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Ability to obtain Class A CDL license (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and route planning
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for on-time deliveries
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Team player with excellent communication skills
