Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) across North Carolina routes
- Inspect vehicles before/during trips to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina CDL Class A license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for load verification and documentation
- Flexible schedule including weekends and overnight trips
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
