Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within the Chicago metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logging system (ELD) and delivery records
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (or willing to obtain with company sponsorship)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of Chicago-area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
