Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for fuel calculations and change making.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
