Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods on time across Boston and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Navigate urban routes using GPS technology while adhering to traffic regulations
- Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery status
- Document delivery confirmations and handle customer inquiries with courtesy
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
