Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all FMCSR regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper vehicle maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery, including delivery receipts and electronic logging device (ELD) logs.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Arizona.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, Reckless Driving) within the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination to meet medical standards.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as per company policy.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting.
