Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math skills for calculating tolls, fuel, and mileage.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.
